Pokemon players will need to wait a little longer for Pokemon Bank and Poke TransporterWritten by: / / No Comments
Due to an unfortunate series of traffic spikes on the Nintendo Network over the December holidays, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have decided to postpone the launch of both the Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter for players of the handheld RPG series.
The pair of applications were due for release on December 27th for 3DS, but “due to a large volume of traffic to the Nintendo Network service” the release of the software has been pushed back to an undetermined time.
Nintendo wrote on its official support site:
“We truly regret the inconvenience, and wish to reassure everyone that providing a solution is our top priority. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your continued patience.”
I Choose You! But What Do You Do?
When available, the Poke Transporter will allow players of the previous generation of Pokemon games (Pokemon Black and Pokemon White) to transfer their collected Pokemon into the latest generation of the games (Pokemon X and Pokemon Y), while the Pokemon Bank is a paid online service that lets players deposit, store, and manage their Pokemon in 100 ‘Boxes,’ with up to 3000 Pokemon able to be stored online for retrieval.
Both combined and standalone, the applications sound incredibly useful for hardcore Pokemon fans – will you be taking advantage of the Poke Transporter and Pokemon Bank when they’re available?
