EA and other publishers regularly pull online support for their older titles and Sony Computer Entertainment is no different, having recently announced that a host of PlayStation games will no longer be able to be played online.

From May 20th, 2014, for example, online support for Gran Turismo 5 will no longer be available. From the end of January 28th this year, MAG, SOCOM: Special Forces and SOCOM: Confrontation will also no longer be able to be played online and from March 28th, the PlayStation 3 Resistance series won’t sport multiplayer play.

While this is certainly a regular practice, do you think companies should find a way to continue to support the online portion of their games into the future?
