Star Wars: Attack Squadrons announced as free-to-play space combat game on PC

If you’re keen to jump into a collection of space combat fighters from the Star Wars universe in an attempt to reclaim your arcade and/or PC gaming youth (or maybe you just think it would be a cool thing to do), then you’ll want to sign up for the beta test of Star Wars: Attack Squadrons, a recently announced free-to-play game on PC from Disney Interactive.

In development Area 52 Games and due for release in 2014, Star Wars: Attack Squadrons will feature sixteen-player dogfights in space with X-Wings and Tie Fighters amongst the announced ships that you’ll be able to control.
