The ability to stream games to Sony’s portable consoles was supported by a few PS3 games but Remote Play has taken a massive leap forward thanks to the powerful pairing of PS4 and PS Vita. Although Remote Play is currently capped at 30 frames per second, the resolution is higher than the Wii U GamePad’s comparable Off-TV Play functionality and of course PS4 games look fantastic on the Vita’s OLED screen.
PlayStation Europe recently released a tutorial video taking users through the steps required to get Remote Play up and running. What the video doesn’t tell you is that you can also stream PS4 games to your PS Vita when you’re away from your console provided that your upload speed at home is fast enough and that you have your handheld tethered to a zippy WiFi connection.
