It’s an all Nintendo top three on the latest Media Create hardware chart. Nintendo consoles traditionally perform very well over the Christmas holidays in Japan and this year seems like no exception. 3DS XL sales climbed by 12% week over week while the Wii U got a massive sales spike (up 71%) thanks in part to the release of a revamped version of Dragon Quest X.

All the other consoles also enjoyed increased sales this week except for the PS Vita TV which is struggling to gain any sort of traction in the handheld dominated Japanese market.

Here’s this week’s hardware chart in full (previous sales data appears in brackets):

• 3DS XL – 92 375 (82 409)
• Wii U – 48 762 (28 518)
• 3DS – 32 894 (25 964)
• PS Vita – 25 594 (20 202)
• PS3 – 24 085 (13 311)
• PSP – 4 416 (4 232)
• PS Vita TV – 3 772 (5 391)
• Wii – 767 (588)
• Xbox 360 – 473 (309)
