Original Story

We may have already enjoyed Tomb Raider on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC here in 2013, supported by subsequent downloadable content releases, but according to listings on Amazon and an additional online advert, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners will also be able to pick the game up early in 2014.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has received release dates of January 28th from Amazon (presumably only the North American releases), which was corroborated by an online advert (which you can view over here).

Here’s what to expect from the game:

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

- Live the critically acclaimed, cinematic action-adventure, re-built specifically for next gen consoles

- Survive high-octane combat, customize Lara’s weapons and gear, and overcome grueling environments to uncover the island’s deadly secret

- See Lara Croft like never before, with every bead of sweat, strand of hair, and article of clothing delivered in obsessive detail

- Endure a stunningly re-imagined island, fraught with new, unforgiving storms, and alive with motion

- Own the complete Tomb Raider experience with all of the DLC, including the Tomb of the Lost Adventurer, six outfits for Lara, a digital mini art book, and the digital comic “The Beginning”

Have you already played Tomb Raider (2013) and will you be picking this up again on new generation consoles? Or will you hold off playing it until the Definitive Edition next year?
