Finnish developer Frozenbyte has announced that its beautiful puzzle platformer Trine 2 is headed to PS4 soon in the form of Trine 2: Complete Story. This version of the game (previously released on Steam in June) features a total of 20 levels from the main campaign and the expansion Goblin Menace, as well as a secret level called Dwarven Caverns.
Frozenbyte will be self-publishing the game on PSN and is aiming for it to be a PS4 launch title although nothing is concrete at this point.
Trine 2: Complete Story supports stereoscopic 3D on PS4 and runs in full HD (1080p) at 60 frames per second. Frozenbyte CEO Lauri Hyvärinen had this to say about the game’s visual sparkle on PS4:
“The PS4 has been a joy to develop on, and the power of the console is amazing. Trine 2: Complete Story even with all its graphical splendor runs in full 1080p with steady 60 fps. We also support stereoscopic 3D and it’s just amazing to see the beautiful world come alive in such great detail on displays that support 3D, we definitely recommend everyone to check it out if given the chance.”
