Battlefield 4 is now out and available in North America, with a release to follow later this week in Europe, the UK, South Africa and other regions of the world, but accompanying the game’s launch is a day one update that developer DICE ‘strongly advises’ you download.

Weighing in at 119.21 MB on Xbox LIVE, the ‘Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Update 1’ was released with the following description:

“This Battlefield 4 update contains improvements to the multiplayer portions of the game. We strongly advise you download it.”

Must be important then, but wouldn’t you need it to play online anyway?
