As we reported earlier this week, Rockstar Games is currently focussed on stabilising GTA Online before the company continues to add any further content or make any important changes to the game, which may still involve the release of additional title updates in the future.
This understandable and conservative approach to the game extends to the release timing for the promised $500 000 in GTA$ per player in GTA Online, the first half of which was expected to arrive before the end of the week (ending October 27th).
Unfortunately it seems unlikely that players will be receiving that $250 000 this week, however, as Rockstar recently wrote on its official site:
“We hope to have an update for you on that very soon. As others have mentioned here, we of course want to make sure player progress loss issues are addressed before providing everyone with their GTA$500K. Thanks for your patience and please stay tuned.”
In addition, and when asked directly about the so-called ‘Stimulus Package,’ Rockstar said on Twitter yesterday:
.@KevinHitchcock2 We’ll have an update on the GTA Online Stimulus Package payments soon.

When do you think “soon” is? Will players get their cash over the weekend or are we in for a bit of a wait?
Are you hurting for cash in GTA Online, or can you hold out for a few more days (or even another week or two) to get your first instalment of $250 000 in GTA bucks?
