Wow, Friday is here again and, wouldn’t you know it? It’s towing Saturday and Sunday right behind it to safely dock in the harbour of the Weekend!
As you’ve just witnessed, it’s not been a great week for clever writing for me so I hope you’ll excuse any (and all) further attempts at creative language as we hop straight into what members of El33tonline will be busy with this weekend, just a little further down this very page.
A little further still, we would love to hear about your plans for the next two days, so let us go on a journey of discovery together in the legendary lost city of our latest Pre-W33kend Post (please excuse me…):
“Currie Cup final – woohoo. And, of course, there is the cricket to enjoy. Last night, in celebration of Black Flag, I decided to play some Assassins’ Creed 2 – almost finished it – one more memory sequence to go (and no, I don’t try collect all the feathers/flags/glyphs/whatever). Then I will take Assassin’s Creed out of the plastic and play that this weekend. Of course, there will be some FIFA 14 and Skylanders with the future super heroes.
Other than that I am really hoping that this weather holds and I can take my boys riding on the beach on Sunday. Hope everyone has a good one.”
“We are down to single digits for weeks until Christmas – you’ve got nine remaining! Don’t panic, I have given you plenty of notice to get yourself ready for this!
I am coming down with a sickness and I may be relegated to rest on the couch while I try to watch the Currie Cup final on my broken Drifta, stuttering Supersport streaming, or even over the radio. In between all the menaces of sickness, my kids are also looking not so good so it may be yet another busy weekend. Hopefully they get to bed early enough tonight for me to play some NBA 2K14 – that’s going to be epic with buddies and I’m dribbling in anticipation for it.
I must admit, I do sometimes miss those days when you could call in sick and just sit at home, recuperating, while you play on your console. Instead, nowadays I’d just have to stay at home and look after my kids when I don’t feel particularly well so it’s not quite the same any more…”
“Will you look at that, it is the w33kend again. It has been one hectically busy week for me and one with almost no gaming or sleep. But this weekend I will catch up on the gaming part, who needs sleep anyway?
I will be trying to play some Battlefield 3 before Battlefield 4 gets released in a week! Then I will also play some more Aliens Colonial Marines and do some co-op gaming. I was happy to discover Dead Trigger 2 was released on the Android market yesterday. One of the best looking zombie shooters on mobile. Then I’ve got some overdue stuff to finish off, you will all see that next week.
Then there is some movies to be watched and some F1 racing to be enjoyed. Overall I’ve got a full weekend lined up. It will also be the first F1 that race me and my baby boy will watch together. Have an awesome one and see you online maybe…”
“I’ve already got the chip and dip ready for tomorrow’s Currie Cup final and will be hoping that the Sharks’ forwards can demolish Western Province and give us the ‘go-forward ball’ (as the commentators like to say) which should ultimately seal the deal for the coastal team from the warmer side of Africa.
My wife has to study for her imminent UNISA exams this weekend so besides some tennis tomorrow morning we’ll mostly be housebound – giving me a good opportunity to dig deeper into three games I need to review – Muramasa Rebirth, Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and F1 2013.
Have a great break p33ps and see you all on the other side of the weekend!”
“Hmm, what to do this weekend, what to do? I’d like to dip back into Batman: Arkham Origins to clear up some side missions, but I’ve still got loads of PS Plus games I’m slowly installing (after downloading them months ago) and trying out. I may even replay episode one of The Wolf Among Us again, it’s that good!
But. My main quest will be making progress in Dark Souls – I will conquer the beast (and maybe even enjoy some of the goodies that came with the limited edition).
I hope you all have a terrific time this weekend, enjoy it no matter where you are!”
“This weekend there are two very important goals on my ‘to do’ list – rest and relaxation!
It’s going to be a chilled two days, and I plan on enjoying another 33 milestone in my life… 33 weeks and counting (Bryan is not the only one who can do countdowns!)
Have a great weekend everyone, see you back here next week for more awesomeness.”
What are you all up to this weekend, everybody, and what do you plan on playing?
