Myst and Riven creators, Cyan, has launched a Kickstarter for an “all-new, immersive adventure game” called Obduction being developed for PC and Mac using Unreal Engine 4.
The Kickstarter’s base goal is $1.1 million and it’s already off to a flyer, surpassing $475 000 in pledges after just four days.
The game shares many similarities to Cyan’s earlier games, such as adopting a first-person perspective and dropping players into a mysterious, unfamiliar environment from the get-go.
According to the developer, Obduction “will be built with the same framework that made Cyan’s earlier games such a wonderful experience: stunning landscapes, deep storyline, engaging characters, dramatic soundscapes, and challenging yet intuitive puzzles.”
