After generating over $1 billion in revenue faster than any other entertainment property before it, Grand Theft Auto V continues to break sales records around the world and according to a report at MCV, the UK isn’t immune to the game’s charms with three million units having been sold in the region since launch in mid-September.
In only four weeks, GTA V has sold more than Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and is on track to outsell current record holder FIFA 13, with sales tracking firm Chart Track expecting Rockstar to achieve this feat within the week, making it the biggest ever selling title in the UK.
Just this past week on Chart Track’s UK Software Sales listing, GTA V made its way back to the top of the chart after a brief ousting by FIFA 14.
