Worrying news hit the ‘net recently regarding the possibility of a delay for one of the PlayStation 4′s launch line-up games, DriveClub from Evolution Studios (MotorStorm), with reports that the racer may only see a release in 2014.
DriveClub is currently due for release alongside the PlayStation 4 as a launch title in North America on November 15th, in Europe on November 29th and South Africa on December 13th, but anonymous tipsters speaking to The Same Coin and Kotaku are pointing to a delay of the game, which now may only launch in 2014. Kotaku writes that “a person familiar with goings-on at Sony” has confirmed the reports.
The situation becomes a bit more dire with the news that, during a recent PlayStation preview event in San Francisco, DriveClub was pulled from the line-up of games due to be shown there because of “scheduling conflict,” a Sony representative said.
DriveClub design director Paul Rustchynsky isn’t making the situation any clearer, either, and when asked about the potential delay wrote on Twitter:
Unfortunately guys I don't have any new information on DRIVECLUB to share. I've been out if the office for a week looking after my newborn!

We’re certainly hoping that the report turns out to be false – after getting a chance to play and see DriveClub at E3 2013 and gamescom this year, it was shaping up to be an excellent launch game, as well as a fantastic freebie for PlayStation Plus subscribers on the release of the PS4 this year.
