[Update]

Konami has recently sent out the word that the source of the Xbox 360 issues has been found and “anticipates it will be able to release a new patch that will resolve these issues shortly.”

A new problem has arisen, however, in that the team is “also working to resolve secondary problems users have experienced,” namely the need to install the necessary datapack on a hard-drive, and will be allowing players with USB storage units to download and install future packs.

PES 2014 players were first asked to download a day one title update on Xbox 360, before a second patch was released to get all players synced up with the same game data, but some players are reporting problems downloading that second patch with a ‘Download File is Broken’ error message.

In a statement on the official forums, Konami has assured Xbox 360 players that the team is currently working on the problem with Microsoft, writing:

“Konami is continuing to investigate the issue currently preventing some Xbox360 users from playing PES 2014 online and would like to update users on progress. The PES Team has identified key issues and is currently preparing a solution, with the support of Microsoft.”

Konami will let everyone know when the fix has been released, which means we’ll also spread the word as soon as it has become available.
