Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that it will be publishing a mobile edition of Batman: Arkham Origins for iOS and Android in the coming weeks. This free-to-play game is being developed by the company’s subsidiary NetherRealm Studios who previously worked on Batman: Arkham City Lockdown and Injustice: Gods Among Us for mobile devices.
The mobile version of Batman: Arkham Origins features light RPG elements and allows players to unlock unique Batsuits by earning in-game currency and rewards. During the game you’ll face off against some of the most deadly assassins in DC Comics history in combat sequences seemingly inspired by the Infinity Blade series.
Fans who also own Batman: Arkham Origins on consoles and have a Warner Bros. ID account will be able to access exclusive bonus content including the Red Son Batman suit.
“We created an integrated gaming ecosystem between the Batman: Arkham Origins mobile and console games, which delivers rewards and unlocks that provide greater experiences for players,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “The mobile game goes hand-in-hand with what is offered on the other platforms.”
