Even though Capcom’s next zombie destruction sim was due to form part of the Xbox One’s launch line-up on November 22nd in select countries around the world, Dead Rising 3 will not be making it to the party in Germany.
In fact, Dead Rising 3 won’t be available in the country at all.
“Dead Rising 3 will not be released in Germany as part of the Xbox One launch line-up on Nov. 22 having been unable to attain an age-rating upon review by BPjM (Bundeprüfstelle für jugendgefährende Medien), the country’s entertainment software self-regulation body.
“While Microsoft is disappointed with this decision, we respect the views of the review panel and have withdrawn Dead Rising 3 from Germany’s Xbox One launch line-up.”
Despite this, Dead Rising 3 will still be made available in other countries, and in time for launch on November 22nd.
What do you think of the news? Should Microsoft and Capcom work with the German ratings board to ensure the game is released in the country, or would there be too much content to cut to make it acceptable for release?
