Yesterday evening Namco Bandai emailed out Dark Souls II beta invites to select PlayStation Network users in PAL territories. Now the publisher has confirmed that the first round of beta testing will kick off at 7pm GMT tomorrow evening (October 12th) and last for two hours until 9pm. The beta can only be launched if the game’s servers are online so users will be unable to play it outside of these specified times.
The beta weighs in at 1.7GB and there’s a 105MB patch to download, so if you received a beta invite then you best get downloading before tomorrow’s beta session gets underway.
It’s not clear if there will be another beta test held before October 27th, which is when the second round of testing is confirmed to commence.
Dark Souls II will be released on March 11th in the US and March 14th in European territories for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of the latest entry in this influential series.
