Today may mark the release of the Battlefield 4 beta and Grand Theft Auto Online but it’s also the day that PlayStation C.A.M.P.’s intriguing adventure title Rain splashes onto the US PlayStation Store. Thankfully those of us in PAL territories only have to wait until tomorrow to get our hands on one of the most anticipated PSN exclusives of 2013.
Sony celebrated Rain’s imminent release with a launch trailer featuring a haunting melody from renowned Japanese composer Yugo Kanno. The trailer introduces us to the basic premise of Rain which is about a boy who follows an invisible girl through the soaked streets of a mysterious town filled with ghostly creatures. Director Yuuki Ikeda was inspired to create this emotive tale by a childhood experience he had where he found himself lost.
Here’s the trailer:
Rain will cost $14.99/€12.99/£9.99 when it lands on the PlayStation Store later today in the US and tomorrow in European territories. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this melancholic adventure game for PS3, which includes Peter’s hands-on preview from E3 2013 and my preview from gamescom 2013.
