[End of Update]
South African PlayStation fans hoping to pick up a PS4 during the first week of December may have to keep their expectations in check as MyGaming reports that a Ster Kinekor representative has told the website that the console’s SA launch has been delayed.
The console was originally going to launch on our shores on December 6th and Ster Kinekor reportedly can no longer confirm a new launch date, stating that it’s striving to ensure the console is available before Christmas 2013.
MyGaming also reports that local retailer BT Games has confirmed that it will host a midnight launch for the PS4 on the evening of December 12th, with the console available to purchase from 12am the next day. BT Games has not yet confirmed a price tag for the PS4 despite Ster Kinekor having announced a RRP of R6 299.
We have reached out to Ster Kinekor and BT Games to confirm these details and will update the article when we hear back from them.
