Capcom’s 3DS exclusive Monster Hunter 4 has already sold over 2 million copies in Japan since its release there on September 14th yet the publisher still hasn’t confirmed that the game is headed West.
Now the official Monster Hunter franchise page on Facebook has acknowledged fans’ pleas to localise Monster Hunter 4, but at the same time hasn’t made any promises regarding its release outside of Japan, writing:
“Hey hunters! We’ve seen many of you ask for us to #BRINGMH4TOTHEWEST. We’re excited to see the fan base growing and you all showing your passion, keep it coming! We are continuing to evaluate new Monster Hunter titles for the west, and will share any new information with you here on Facebook as soon as we have it..”
With the 3DS selling so well in North America at the moment it makes financial sense for Capcom to bring Monster Hunter 4 to the West, but sales of previous Monster Hunter games outside of Japan will undoubtedly also factor into the localisation equation.
