EA Sports has responded to fan feedback following the release of FIFA 14′s demo with the release of a day one patch for the full game, which is now available in North America and will launch later this week everywhere else.
Specific areas that the team received feedback on were the following items:
- The effectiveness of headers from corner kicks and crosses.
- The effectiveness of finesse shots.
- The accuracy of lofted through-balls.
When you first start up FIFA 14, you’ll be prompted to download the first title update for the game, which addresses stability issues and provides minor fixes to a few game modes including Skill Games and the Creation Centre. In addition, another serious issue is being investigated. From a post on EA’s official forum:
“Finally, we’re aware that some users are experiencing freezes during the game. We continue to investigate these reports internally, and with our partners, and will update the community when we know more.”
FIFA 14 is out now in North America and will be available on September 27th in Europe across multiple platforms including PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions arriving this year, too.
