So far Rockstar Games and Take 2 have stuck to their guns and refused to announce, mention or even hint at versions of Grand Theft Auto V on anything other than PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but as a ‘last hurrah’ for these ageing consoles the game does a great job of pushing the hardware to the limit and presents a very believable and detailed world. The characters don’t look too bad, either.
The thorough folks over at Digital Foundry have of course put the two different versions of GTA V up against one another in a console comparison video that places the exact same scenes running on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 side-by-side – can you tell the difference between them?
So far, reports from people who have seen both versions running point to the Xbox 360 running slightly better overall, but it’s the PS3 version that may look better with higher quality textures. See if you can spot the difference in the video below:
