Capcom’s 3DS exclusive Monster Hunter 4 may have only been out for four days in Japan but already the publisher has shipped over 2 million copies, making it the fastest selling third-party title for the platform.
The publisher revealed these impressive feats in a press release, which also announced that the Monster Hunter series has now gone past 25 million units in sales worldwide since the franchise made its debut in 2004.
With over 1 million copies of Monster Hunter 4 rumoured to have been pre-ordered, sales of the 3DS and 3DS XL undoubtedly received a massive boost around the game’s launch. We’ll be bringing you those exact figures when we publish the weekly Media Create hardware and software charts on Thursday morning.
Monster Hunter 4 hasn’t been confirmed for Western territories as yet. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this already monstrously successful action RPG.
