Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, the downloadable first-person action game from Ubisoft, was released digitally on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in May. The title went on to sell 500 000 copies in just two months, leaving the publisher happy with its solid sales performance.
A new update from Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed that Blood Dragon has now sold over one million copies, an impressive total given it’s been available for less than six months.
In a video interview with Game Informer, Guillemot highlighted the success of both Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. He said the publisher’s “mini-AAA” development model has been proven and will be continued going forward.
Guillemot also hinted that Blood Dragon may see a retail release to “achieve a bit more” with the game.
