During Sony’s recently concluded pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono took to the stage to present a new story trailer and some live gameplay footage for the developer’s online RPG Deep Down which is exclusive to PlayStation 4.
Ono said that Sony Computer Entertainment’s engineers are assisting Capcom with the project, and that Deep Down will be playable at Sony’s TGS booth.
Interestingly, the game is set in the future in 2094 and takes place in New York, although some sort of advanced technology allows players to collect memories from ancient dungeons. Ono said that Deep Down’s maps, monsters, items, and equipment will all be automatically generated by the game’s Panta Rhei engine.
Here’s Deep Down’s debut story trailer:
Look out for more Deep Down coverage during the Tokyo Game Show which runs from September 19th to September 22nd.
