Yesterday a select group of journalists got to attend a preview event for Metal Gear Solid V at the newly opened Kojima Productions Los Angeles studio. During the event a new gameplay demo was shown to the press which, according to GameTrailers, was running on a PC with current-gen specs.
GameTrailers also claim Kojima Productions revealed that the game will be shown running on next-gen consoles at the Tokyo Game Show which begins on September 19th. Unlike the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of MGS V which run at 30 frames per second, the next-gen version will run at 60fps and will likely boast a 1080p resolution and additional graphical effects such as tessellation.
Metal Gear Solid V is still without a release window but we at least know that the game’s target formats are PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this open-world stealth action game helmed by industry veteran Hideo Kojima.
