What have you lot got planned for the next two days? Fun in the sun or games in the rain? (Please don’t take your electronics into the rain, the experiences don’t ‘mix.’) Does work and worry await you this weekend or will you be leaving that world behind in favour of a few virtual universes?
Whatever you’re up to this weekend, we hope you have a great time of it – give us a few hints and clues about your activities and find out what members of El33tonline will be busy with in the latest Pre-W33kend Post below:
“I will be chilling. That is a technical term for basically doing as little as possible and it is absolutely necessary for me this weekend as I feel like a walking zombie after working for most of last weekend (yeah, I am weak, or getting old). At least for Saturday morning that is my plan.
Doing little for me means playing some videogames since that is my ultimate relaxation medium, and I have Etrian Odyssey IV which I am thoroughly enjoying, Fire Emblem Awakening which I am making slow progress through (I save it for days when I really can make the most of it) and Pikmin 3 to still 100%. Plus a whole bunch of PlayStation Plus games I can choose from, so I am definitely not short of options! In fact, I might end up spending the whole weekend trying to decide what to do.”
“We’re set to have fine weather here in Durbs over the weekend so I’d like to go for a beach walk one morning, and of course set aside some time to watch the Springboks take on the Aussies tomorrow afternoon.
I have a great selection of games to play at the moment, so I’ll divide my free time between the likes of Rayman Legends, Bastion, and Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth.
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!”
“It is unbelievable that it is the w33kend again. Time is moving way too fast. This w33kend will be a bit different.
Tonight will be Battlefield 3 Friday and then the morning I will be going for a nice long run. If any of you would like to join me for a run at Suncoast you can meet me there at 6:30am, but let me know. Then I will spend most of my Saturday playing some games and spending some time with my family. Then Sunday I will be watching F1 and then play some more games.
rAge Expo is just 27 days away and my planning for rAge and our pre-rAge DBNgamers event will be planned this w33kend. Have a great one and enjoy. See you all online.”
“Another week closer to Christmas! I’ve got a block buster weekend lined up:
Today I came to work in casual clothes to do my part for my daughter and people around the world by creating awareness for People with Disabilities (today is Casual Day – www.casualday.co.za). Problem is, no-one has even asked me why I’m dressed casual today… So much for creating awareness. I don’t know if I should be bothered about the fact that no-one noticed I’m dressed differently today?
Tonight is meeting the founder of GNU/GPL, Richard Stallman at work (there’s still space if you want to come!) and then afterwards it’s time for Diablo III on Xbox – looking forward to that because it’s so far been an awesome action RPG on Xbox!
Tomorrow night I’m hitting Trevor Noah … Well, not literally hitting him, I mean going to laugh at him … I mean ‘with’ him. Shucks, there’s a whole lot more for Sunday but I’m already spent just thinking about tonight and tomorrow!”
“This weekend promises to be a goodie.
My son is turning 7 next week so this weekend it’s his party – magician, water slides, chips, chocolates, sweets and pressies. Who could ask for more?
Sunday is the last soccer match of the season for both the boys and, whilst I like the fact that my boys get out and have fun playing soccer on the weekend, I am really looking forward to not carting them around the countryside every Sunday – at least for a little while.
On the gaming front I’ll be trying my hand at Spelunky on the PS3 and an interesting PC game that I will review and it will be on El33tonline sometime in the next week. Looking forward to that.
At the moment I am sitting at work trying not to fall asleep – coffee anyone?”
“I think I’m finally returning to normal (whatever that means) after a challenging gamescom 2013 event and I’m ready to play some games again after filling my brain with the sights and sounds of unreleased titles at the show this year. Turns out that there’s only so much space in the ol’ noggin’ for videogame information. Binging and purging has… peculiar consequences.
There are still more gamescom games to talk about so in-between thinking back on those titles I plan on playing Saints Row: The Third (turns out I never got very far) to perhaps start Saints Row IV before another massive open-world action game hits in the near future.”
“This weekend I’m hoping to spend some more time with Jim on the icy planet of E.D.N. III in Lost Planet 3. With some warmer weather on the way I also plan to soak up some sunshine in between pushing on with the preparation for the December arrival. Have a great weekend everyone!”
Your turn! What’s on the cards for you this weekend?
