When Ubisoft first announced that Rayman Legends was coming to PS Vita the publisher said the handheld port would include all the content from the home console and PC versions. However, with the PS Vita port releasing earlier this week in the US it has become clear that the game is missing all 28 Invasion levels featured in the other versions which mash up existing stages to form a hardcore speed-run mode.
In a recent post on the Ubisoft Blog, communications manager Gary Steinman confirmed the missing levels and said that Invasion Mode would be added to the PS Vita version of Rayman Legends at a “later date” via a free patch. Gary stated that the reason for this omission was due to a “longer development time than expected” for the PS Vita port.
Rayman Legends is out now for Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, PC and PS Vita (US only). The handheld version of the game will be released in European territories on September 12th. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this quirky platformer from Ubisoft Montpellier.
