Almost, almost. Nearly, nearly.
By the time the weekend is done, Spring will have ‘officially’ begun in South Africa but another regular edition of the DBNGamers meet-ups will also have rolled around with new opportunities to chat with local like-minded individuals (local if you live in Durban, of course). Will you be there?
Spring Day celebrations and DBNGamer attendance are just two of the activities that members of El33tonline have planned for the weekend, find out what else we’ve got on the go and be sure to let us know what you might be up to as well:
“I am so happy it is w33kend time again. Been one heavy busy week and it is time to chill. Tonight I have some family over and will only be playing Battlefield 3 later than normal this evening. Need to test out my new headset in Battlefield 3.
Tomorrow is Baby Shower time for my wife so I will be helping out in the morning and then that afternoon at 1pm it is DBNGamers time again. Looking forward having a chat with everyone and having a good time. Then I will have a nice relaxing braai with family.
Sunday will be dedicated to some gaming and movie watching. All in all I will be having a really fun time this w33kend. Have a good one and I dare you to have some fun.”
“This weekend looks to be jam-packed.
Starting it off with whipping the house into shape followed by donating blood at 10, maybe a quick trip to the beach and then its DBNgamers! To end the Saturday off I have a bachelor party that I still need to buy a gift for… But other than that I am determined to play anything on either my PC or console, as I have become addicted to Hungry Shark on my mobile.
Have a great one p33ps and hope to see you all at DBNgamers.”
“I’m starting to settle into a routine with my boys and the weekends. As such, I’m not as stressed out when they come to visit. Anyway, I’ll be picking them up tonight and we’ll watch our customary movie with dinner, rough house for 20 minutes or so and then sleep. Wake up and then enter the fun cycle of riding, playing, swimming and generally enjoying quality time. I’ll most probably miss DBNGamers cos of bad marketing from POI (…) but I’ll make an ever to swing by. Maybe from or to a ride on the beach…
Gym, gym, gym, gym – I’m not a health nut but I am determined to get the full discount that my medical aid provides for gym fees! Sunday is soccer for the future super heroes and then I enter relax mode.
Hope everyone has a good one.”
“There are seventeen weeks until Christmas 2013!
This weekend is a busy one – first I’ve got to help my mom move out of our home of thirty+ years (and for that reason I shall not be at DBNGamers… may as well call it DBNLamers without Olt and me there, am I right? Am I right?). The house moving is going to be a bit emotional since it’s been part of my life for, well, my whole life.
After that I hope to find some R&R with a bit of TMNT… insert all surfer-related captions here. Cowabunga dude, surf’s up, gnarly, etcetera etcetera.
My kids are sick (again) but am hoping they’re on the mend.
I shall part with this – I got a pub quiz question wrong which I should never have got wrong: ‘Who is the most capped Springbok?’ If you know the answer, and bonus points for the number of caps, throw it into the comments. I am pleased to note that even Graeme got it wrong… remember, you have ten seconds to come up with your answer!”
“With gamescom behind me I’ll be catching up with family this weekend and tidying up around the house and garden (nature has a way of reclaiming land when there are no humans around).
I’d love to dive into the Killzone: Mercenary multiplayer beta this weekend so please add me on PSN (tom110584) if you’re keen for some matches. Peter has kindly lent me Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth so I’m also looking forward to making inroads into it before Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies drops later this year.
Have an awesome weekend p33ps!”
“Spring is sprung… bring on the sun! No complaining this weekend from any of you… the awesomeness of spring is upon us. Yes it means more outdoorsey stuff and potentially less couch potato gaming, but you’ve had all winter to get through your backlog. Bring on the beach volleyball and braais, and pack away those blankets and beanies. This weekend I’m looking forward to wearing a pair of shorts so watch out people you have been warned. Deploy your sunglasses!”
“Even though the weather is forecast to be a bit less sunny over the next few days, I still plan on celebrating the arrival of Spring with planting some new flowers and having a braai. There’s also going to be some planning for rAge going on in between the spacing of petunias (watch this space) and also some time spent with Flashback and possibly even a few boardgames too!”
