In addition to unveiling a new 2DS handheld console, Nintendo has announced a new Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U bundle.
The limited edition Zelda themed Wii U bundle will be available on September 20th in North American for $299.99 and October 4th across Europe. The Premium Pack bundle includes a black 32GB premium Wii U console, a Wii U GamePad controller (featuring gold lettering, a gold Hyrule crest and gold symbols from the game), as well as a Nintendo eShop download code for The Wind Waker HD (which can be downloaded immediately). North American gamers will also receive a download code for the digital version of Hyrule Historia, a book detailing the history, artwork and chronology of the Zelda series.
Although the digital version of the game will be available on September 20th, a limited edition of The Wind Waker HD will be available in stores on October 4th. This will include a copy of the boxed game featuring an exclusive, double-sided title sheet with Zelda artwork, as well as a figurine of Ganondorf (encased in a transparent dome) wielding dual swords in attack.
The publisher also announced that the Wii U Deluxe Set (known as Premium in Europe) would get a price cut in North America. The console bundle will be $50 cheaper as of September 20th, retailing at $299.99.
