While it wasn’t a sure bet that Sony would unveil a brand new triple-A blockbuster at its recent gamescom 2013 press conference, it was known for certain that the company would announce the final launch dates for the PlayStation 4 around the world. A price cut for the PS Vita was expected, too.
What we couldn’t have even imagined was the avalanche of independently developed games that would be announced as launch exclusive titles for PS4 and PS Vita, and by the end of the evening Sony had revealed 15 such games – whopping!
After Sony confirmed that PlayStation 4 would launch in 32 countries in 2013, many territories were sent into a flurry as it seemed as though important parts of the world were being left out.
South African gamers in particular were left cold when it was initially thought that the PS4 would skip over the country this year, but luckily it’s since been confirmed that we’ll be playing next-gen games in December (at a premium price…).
