When your senses are bombarded by a press conference as raucous as EA’s traditionally ear-drumming and brain-numbing presentations, and if you’re looking for sanctuary for your mind after absorbing just about as much overwhelming information as you can while sitting in on an exclusive-ridden media briefing hosted by Sony, where can you go to chill out and let the day’s events sink in?
Where can you go to relax?
- Xbox frontman, Major Nelson
We were asking ourselves the same question, so it was fortunate happenstance that we had been invited to Microsoft’s Xbox One party held down the street from the PlayStation event at the Staatenhaus, where we had a chance to play some next-gen games, see Fable Legends in action, and bear witness to one of the most pathetic demonstrations of a T-shirt gun giveaway we’ve ever seen (it wasn’t Phil Harrison’s fault, mind you).
The games, food and vibes more than made up for Harrison’s poor firing skills, so if you would care to get a taste of what we saw at Microsoft’s chilled Xbox One party, then we invite you to look over a few of the photos that we snapped on the evening, and watch some of the videos that captured the essence of the get-together:
