Square Enix has announced a slew of new Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn details ahead of the game’s launch on August 27th. First up is the upcoming open beta which kicks off this coming Saturday, August 17th and runs until Monday, August 19th. The open beta represents the game’s final phase of beta testing and will be available for all interested PC and PS3 players to download and partake in.
The publisher also revealed that people who pre-ordered Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be granted early access on August 24th, while early adopters will be awarded various ‘Veteran Rewards’ bonuses depending on the length of their initial subscription.
Furthermore, players who picked up the original Final Fantasy XIV at launch will gain free access to A Realm Reborn until September 9th, while a free companion app for iOS called Final Fantasy XIV: Libra Eorzea will be available a week after launch containing the game’s lore.
