It’s not long to go now until the release of Puppeteer – an exciting new IP from SCE Japan Studio which promises to go down in history as one of the best platformers available on PS3.
Sony recently released a new trailer for the game in which its director Gavin Moore discusses some of the ways in which Puppeteer looks set to break new ground in the platformer genre by combining an interesting plot, gorgeous hand-crafted visuals and incredibly varied gameplay which is sure to surprise and delight longtime fans of this popular genre. Moore says that the reason SCE Japan Studio wanted to make Puppeteer a platformer is because this highly accessible genre represents “the language of games” where even non-gamers can quickly grasp the basics and be introduced to new layers of complexity at a manageable rate.
