The Bureau: XCOM Declassified DLC plans revealed as Battle Focus trailer comes into viewWritten by: / / No Comments
An expansion to the cult classic XCOM universe is due to arrive in August this year in the form of the decidedly more action-oriented title from 2K Games, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, but don’t let the third-person perspective and aim-and-shoot gameplay deceive you.
During El33tonline’s interview with 2K Games representatives Nico Bihary and Alyssa Finley discussing the Bureau, the pair were very insistent that the game is much more about strategic manoeuvring and thought than it is about an itchy trigger finger.
You can see just some of the strategic movement and decisions included in The Bureau with the recently released ‘Battle Focus’ trailer which demonstrates these special slowed down moments in the middle of a battle against encroaching aliens, when you’re given a chance to assign your squad mates to various tasks to flank enemies and take down targets:

2K Games has also announced the downloadable content plan for The Bureau, with additions to the game due to become available after the game launches on August 20th in the US and August 23rd elsewhere around the world, across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. While the DLC will eventually be available on all platforms, it’ll release first on Xbox 360.
Players who pre-order The Bureau will net themselves a new mission called ‘Codebreakers,’ along with a new starting gun, the Light Plasma Pistol. What can you expect to see in Codebreakers?
“In this mission, a top secret government communications facility responsible for intercepting and decoding the enemy’s transmissions has gone radio-silent. In a desperate attempt to turn the tides of the secret war, Special Agent Carter and his squad must make contact with personnel in order to bring the facility back online, eliminate any threats, and decrypt the mysterious code.”
