During Sony’s E3 press conference Jack Tretton, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America, announced that more than 85 titles will launch on PS Vita by the end of the year. At least three of these will be ports of existing PS3 games, namely Flower, Dead Nation and the God of War Collection which Tretton stated are all “coming soon”.

Thatgamecompany’s tranquil PSN title Flower is the oldest of these games, having been released in February 2009, while Housemarque’s zombie-themed, top-down shoot ’em up Dead Nation is the most recent release. Meanwhile, the God of War Collection is the only game of the three which was released at retail, having touched down on PS3 in late 2009 in the US.

It’s not yet known if any of these titles will support Cross-Buy so that fans who already own the PS3 version can download the game on PS Vita at no extra cost. We’ll bring you more details on each of these ports as more information emerges.
