Murdered: Soul Suspect tasks you with solving your own death, latest trailer releasedWritten by: / / No Comments
Square Enix has today finally taken the wraps off of Murdered: Soul Suspect, the publisher’s highly intriguing murder mystery action adventure game, with an official announcement trailer.
Due out in 2014, Murdered: Soul Suspect will task players with solving the case of their own murder while playing as hardboiled detective Ronan O’Connor, who currently finds himself in the unenviable position of being dead.
In the game, Ronan has been banished to the land of limbo and the world of Dusk, hanging between life and the afterlife. Until you find your own killer and bring him or her to justice, O’Connor won’t be able to find the peace he needs in order to leave Dusk.
Ronan will have at his disposal new-found supernatural abilities that allow him to explore the town of Salem, Massachusetts while moving around the alternate limbo world. It won’t be a simple task to aid the investigation into Ronan’s murder, however, as he is unable to speak with the living and must instead read their minds and influence their actions using his abilities.
“As part of his investigation,” Square Enix writes, “he must interrogate the ghosts of Salem’s past citizens to piece together the puzzle, while battling demonic spirits to save his soul and uncover the shocking truth about who is responsible for his death.”
