PS3 owners with a fondness for JRPGs and the ‘Tales of’ series will have plenty to keep themselves busy over the next year. Tales of Xillia arrives on the console in August and Namco Bandai recently revealed that HD-remastered versions of Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will also be headed to PS3 in early 2014 in the West.
The collection is called Tales of Symphonia: Unisonant Pack in Japan and will launch in that territory as soon as October 10th. The news was announced by series producer Hideo Baba during the annual Tales of Festival held in Yokohama over the weekend. Here’s Baba confirming that this HD collection is also headed West:
Both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World have never been released on a PlayStation platform outside of Japan so fans of the series will undoubtedly be thrilled at the opportunity to play these two titles from 2004 and 2008 respectively on PS3.
