What else has Double Fine got cooking in its development fires?Written by: / / 4 Comments
Double Fine Productions is by now well known for creating highly creative game experiences filled with personality and charm to spare, bestowing upon the world titles like (The Excellent Game) Psychonauts, Brutal Legend, Stacking and Costume Quest, and the upcoming point-and-click adventure game, Broken Age.
The San Francisco-based developer has also carved itself a unique niche in the game industry by using its talents to craft handfuls of more tightly scoped, smaller titles with releases schedules measured in months, rather than working on one enormous project every few years.
With this strategy, we know that Double Fine has lots of irons in lots of fires and we’re about to hear about a brand new game from the studio. How do we know this? A little (Tim Schafer) bird told us on Twitter:
Excited about announcing something new tomorrow! Not a sequel or a port. Something NEW. I might even put on new underwear.

Something new from Double Fine is always exciting, and we’ll find out more today.
Double Fine and other top notch game studios such as Capy (Critter Crunch, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes) and Media Molecule (LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway) will be attending Horizon, a wonderful showcase event running parallel to the last day of E3 in Los Angeles where these developers will be revealing heretofore unheard of games, so we’re betting we’ll find out more about Double Fine’s next title there, too.
