Activision is currently teasing the next Call of Duty game on the official franchise website with a mosaic image built from thousands of Facebook and Twitter icons submitted by eager fans. At the moment, the image looks a little something like this:
Writing on the Call of Duty Twitter account, the publisher let it be known that what is currently being unveiled is the “next generation of Call of Duty” – here’s the tweet:

While the name hasn’t been formally confirmed just yet, it’s widely believed that Call of Duty: Ghosts is 2013′s edition of the videogame industry-stomping series, and thanks to a leaked promotional posted sent to GameTrailers recently, we may also know the release date.
The two-side poster forms part of a bevy of promotional items that US retailer GameStop is reportedly set to let loose today, May 1st, to begin spreading the word of Call of Duty: Ghosts and invite pre-orders. According to the other side of the poster, the game is due to launch on November 5th, 2013 – here’s that side:
We’re keeping our collective eyes peeled for more information on Call of Duty: Ghosts, but it seems all but confirmed at this point.
