Following on from yesterday’s mandatory PS3 firmware update, Sony has made some changes to the PlayStation Web Store which allow you to add content from your download list to your PS3 or PS Vita’s download queue.

PlayStation Remote Downloads

Once games, themes, avatars or DLC has been assigned to your download queue they will begin downloading the next time your PS3 or PS Vita is turned on provided you’re connected to the internet.

If you’re away from your PS3 then you can turn it on automatically at a specific time using PlayStation Plus’ Auto-Update functionality, or at any time via Remote Play using a PSP or PS Vita. Alternatively, you can leave your PS3 on and the download will start a few minutes after you queue it up on the PlayStation Web Store.

You can even automatically download content on your PS Vita by using PS Plus’ Auto-Update feature, which turns on the system at about 4am on a daily basis.

If you have any questions about this new Auto-Download functionality on PS3 and PS Vita then please leave your queries in the comments section below.
