El33t’s Pre-W33kend Post: Neither rain, nor cold, nor gloom of night stays our hands from the controllerWritten by: / / 3 Comments
“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays our hand from an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 controller, nor Wii U GamePad or handheld device. We will play in all conditions until the completion of our task.”
This is our promise to you.
We can also promise that it’s Friday today (depending on when you’re reading this) and there’s not long to go until we’re welcomed into the warm embrace of a loving Weekend… except, its hands are freezing from the cold. Ouch, that stings, Weekend. Wear some mittens next time.
Other than hugging the Weekend, find out what members of El33tonline will be busy with over the next two days but be sure to let us know about your plans, too:
“Man, what a week.
Monday, one of my dogs died. Thursday a delivery truck drove past my car and its rear door swung open and clipped it. Usually things happen in threes for me, so I am waiting to see what is happening next. Maybe I’ll lose a toe?
All I do know is that this weekend is going to be busy for me and yet very little of that busy time will be spent gaming.
I’ll be getting some Sacred Citadel in at some point – it looks like very similar to Golden Axe from what I can make out – but otherwise I’ll be watching rugby, spending time with family, and having my son, Arthur Future Springbok Captain, dedicated.
It’s amazing how fast time flies! It feels like just yesterday he was born but it’s already been seven months! Anyway, this is Bryan “nine toes” Johnston signing off until next time!”
“The cold weather has set in just as I was getting warmed up to the idea of this weekend so I may need to adjust some of the plans which were in place prior to this paradigm shift.
Whatever the weather, I’ll be battling ghosts and solving environmental puzzles in the haunted mansions of Luigi’s Mansion 2, and watching some Super rugby and IPL cricket. The Sharks are playing the Cheetahs this weekend so that particular game is going to be a tough one to call!
Have a good time p33ps!”
“There will be time for rest and relaxation with a controller in hand and a cup of coffee steaming on my desk, and perhaps a bit of reading as I continue to try and catch up with an epic fantasy series… but there is work to be done, too.
Plans are afoot and wheels are cranking, but the cogs will be turning even faster now. Meanwhile, I’m still thinking of my time spent with The Last of Us in its post-apocalyptic world, and in Remember Me’s fantastic setting of Neo-Paris. I hope to return soon.
Have a great weekend, everybody!”
“The cold and wet wintery weather has rolled into Durban this weekend, and I’m going to use that opportunity to grab a blanket and some popcorn and indulge in some gaming and movie-watching. There’s nothing specific that I have in mind so far, so I’ll be digging into my games drawer to see what tickles my fancy!
Next week we’ve got some really exciting news to share with you, well we’re going to tease you about our exciting news…so stay tuned to find out more then. Have an awesome weekend, and stay safe in this winter nip that’s curled it’s way around South Africa.”
“It’s a fabulously dreary looking weekend in Durban with consistent rain forecast through till Monday morning. Now if I were an outdoors enthusiast I might be pretty glum right now but seeing how I’m not, this weekend is looking fantastic.
I haven’t got it all mapped out into any sort of plan, but yes there will be gaming, rugby watching, comfort food eating and some snoozing for sure. Dust off those winter blankets, crack open the hot chocolate and bunker in for a delightful weekend. Wishing you all a splendid break from work.”
What are your plans for the weekend, p33ps?
