Ubisoft has confirmed that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist will be coming to the Wii U in August.
The stealth-action game is scheduled to be released on August 20th on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. But now the publisher has confirmed that Wii U players will also get the chance to slip into into the technologically-enhanced combat shoes of Sam Fisher this August.
Splinter Cell Blacklist on the Wii U will deliver a “unique gaming experience” with enhanced gameplay features using the Wii U GamePad controller. The game will allow players to “operate innovative gadgets, take out enemies and move through the environment, and intuitively switch between weapons, among other features,” all using the GamePad’s touch screen which together with motion-based inputs promises to “immerse fans and gamers alike in this thrilling modern-day adventure.”
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist will be available for the Wii U on August 20th in North America, with Europe following on August 22nd and the UK on August 23rd.
