Nintendo UK has updated the product page for upcoming 3DS platformer Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D with new details and screens for this highly regarded platformer that originally appeared on Wii in 2010.
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will support wireless local multiplayer for two players, and include a “new mode” that helps lower the original game’s challenging difficulty level.
Here’s more information about this mode from Nintendo UK, along with some new screens:
“New mode makes the going just a little easier, giving Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong three hearts each instead of the usual two, letting them Kong-a for longer! Spend your hard-earned Banana Coins on helpful items from Cranky Kong’s shop, and pick up new items that help save you from falls, allow the Mine Cart and Rocket Barrel to take a second hit, and even let you use a DK Barrel whenever you like.”
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will be released in the US and European territories simultaneously on May 24th.
