Following on from the new screenshots that Quantic Dream released for Beyond: Two Souls, we also have three new trailers showing a brief glimpse into the gameplay we can expect when the game releases for the PlayStation 3 in October this year.
The first trailer shows main protagonist Jodie Holmes as a young, eight year old girl. She’s being held in a facility where scientists are looking at her supernatural abilities. Jodie has an unexplained supernatural link to a entity known only as ‘Aiden,’ and this trailer gives us a glimpse at how powerful Aiden can be and how gameplay will look and feel when you’re playing as him.
You’ll get to see Jodie in action in the second trailer, which shows off the combat from Beyond. You’ll notice there are no on-screen prompts like we had in Heavy Rain, but rather players must use the analogue stick to block, kick, or punch as Jodie enters a bullet-time like state.
The third and final new gameplay trailer shows Jodie escaping the hospital, and gives us another look at how Jodie can ask Aiden to help her. We can also see how Jodie’s physic abilities give her flashbacks.
Beyond: Two Souls will be available on the PlayStation 3 on October 8th. Browse through our previous coverage to find out more about David Cage’s latest project with Quantic Dream.
