Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have today formally announced an improved director’s cut version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution for Wii U, with extra features included to take advantage of Nintendo’s home console.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut will use the Wii U GamePad’s touch screen for hacking, manipulating and editing the interactive map, augmented sniping, throwing grenades back, as well as to use “many other neural hub enhancements.”

The Director’s Cut will also be deeply integrated with the Nintendo Miiverse, while developer commentary and previously released downloadable content (such as Tong’s Rescue mission and the Missing Link chapter) will also be included in the game.

Interestingly, the Wii U version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution will feature overhauled boss fights, as well as “refined game balance and combat, improved AI, and striking visual improvements,” effectively making this the definitive edition of the game.

Would you replay Deus Ex: Human Revolution with new methods of interaction and the mentioned improvements? Did you play the game the first time around or would you rather wait for this version of the game on Wii U?

Rumours point to the release of the Director’s Cut in May, and PAX East attendees will be able to see the game at the event his week.
