It’s been a long time since I’ve watched a trailer and become progressively more desperate and despondent as the events of the video play out before my eyes, but this Metro: Last Light trailer is a toughie.

With scenes of absolute despair and hopelessness, the world of Metro is one you definitely wouldn’t want to live in… and not only because it’s irreversibly filthy. If you’ll excuse a play on words, however, there is a light at the end of the tunnel:

Metro: Last Light is out on May 14th in the US and May 17th around the rest of the world across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, now on the way from publisher Deep Silver and original developer 4A Games.
