If you’re looking for a challenging platformer to play on the go then look no further than Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D – an upcoming 3DS title based on Retro Studios’ memorable Wii game released in 2010.

Following its official unveiling last month, Nintendo recently announced that Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will be released in the US and European territories simultaneously on May 24th. The port is being developed by Monster Games who previously worked on 3DS launch title Pilotwings Resort.

The original Donkey Kong Country Returns was a critical and commercial hit, selling close to 5 million copies worldwide and earning itself a Metacritic rating of 87.
