Dragon’s Dogma was one of the surprise hits of last year and Capcom deserves praise for introducing a new IP so late in the current consoles’ life cycle. Next month marks the release of a sizeable expansion for the game called Dark Arisen which takes place on the Bitterblack Isle off the Gransys mainland, and tasks players with venturing to an underground realm where they’ll face new enemies in pursuit of new equipment, augments and skill tiers.

Capcom recently released a new trailer for the expansion showing a member of the Wizard class taking on a variety of fearsome foes including Poisoned Undead, Banshees and the Gold and Silver Knights.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is out on April 23rd in the US and April 26th in European territories for PS3 and Xbox 360. It acts as a standalone expansion to the original game and includes all of the content from that title.
