While the query comes up less and less in modern videogames, it’s still a question that we’re prompted with in a lot of our interactive entertainments and it’s an answer that you need to give a bit of thought before beginning your adventures in a brand new game, so we would like to know what that answer is, more often than not, with this Question of the Day:
Do you play games on easier or more challenging difficulties?
It’s also a question that came up in a conversation Mathew Clarke had recently with some friends when discussing the difficulty levels of Crysis 3.
According to them, they enjoy playing on easier difficulties to fully experience the might and weight of protagonist Prophet as he (and they) lay waste to enemies. Mat, on the other hand, prefers to give himself more of a challenge by playing on the highest difficulty setting.
Where do you fall in the spectrum of difficulty levels? Do you play just to have a relaxing time and pick an Easy or Medium setting, or do you challenge your skills to the maximum and go for a High setting?
This Question of the Day was submitted by Mathew Clarke – thanks Mat!
